The Water Corporation will soon begin important works to install a new water pipeline near Ashfield Train Station, replacing an existing pipeline. This upgrade will help maintain the quality and reliability of water supply for residents in Ashfield and Bassendean.

Timeline:
Works are scheduled to begin in November 2024 and will continue until February 2025.

Location:
Construction will take place along Railway Parade, Guildford Road, and parts of Ashfield Reserve.

What to Expect:

• Water Corporation will start by decommissioning the old water main on Ashfield Reserve adjacent to the corner of Guildford and Colstoun Roads.
• There will be an increase in vehicle movement, noise, and dust during the works.
• One lane on Railway Parade and Guildford Road will be temporarily closed to ensure the safety of workers and the public. Traffic management will be in place to direct vehicles and pedestrians safely.
• Some footpaths may experience partial closures, and Ashfield Reserve will have temporary restrictions in place.

The Water Corporation will make every effort to minimise disruption to the community and keep the work areas as tidy as possible.
