ATCO Gas will soon be replacing the existing PVC gas mains with new polyethylene (PE) mains in several locations in Bassendean. This upgrade is part of ATCO’s commitment to achieving a net zero emissions gas network by 2050. Impacted residents will receive a notification letter, and the works will also be announced in the ECHO newspaper.

Timeline:
Stage 2 works will begin in December 2024 and are expected to continue until March 2025.

Location:
Stage 2 locations include Reid Street, Kenny Street, Best Street Iveson Place, Fisher Street, and Cyril Street in Bassendean.

ATCO focus for Stage 2 will be on the locations surrounding Ashfield Primary and Cyril Jackson Campus.

What to Expect:

• The gas supply may be temporarily interrupted between 8 am and 4 pm for short periods.
• Any rectification works required post the upgrade will be completed by ATCO Gas within 15 working days after completion of the project. Gas supply will be reinstated in the interim.
