Declutter, Donate and Dispose Responsibly Workshop

Are you tired of feeling overwhelmed by clutter? Have you been dreaming of a simpler, more organised lifestyle? Want to responsibly rehome items and better recycle or dispose of the rest? This workshop is for you! Join sustainability educator Laura Monisse for an engaging session on the art of decluttering and learn practical strategies you can use to live a better life with less. Together, we'll explore: ✅ The cost of clutter, ✅ Why clutter accumulates, ✅ Evolutionary reasons of why we keep stuff, ✅ Psychological benefits to a clutter free space, ✅ Practical strategies for decluttering, ✅ How to transform your relationship with possessions, ✅ Secrets to maintaining an organised space, ✅ Keeping motivation on your decluttering journey, and ✅ Living an abundant life with less (whatever that means to you). This workshop is hosted by the Town of Bassendean in partnership with Switch Your Thinking. This workshop is being run in conjunction with an EMRC Care to Rewear Clothes Swap stall as part of Bassendean Markets (4:30pm- 8:30pm at BIC Reserve), featuring a special Drop & Swap session (FREE/ tickets not required): - Drop off your pre-loved clothes( limited to 10 items per attendees) - Browse and discover unique finds - Take home a fresh, stylish wardrobe Plus, visit our FOGO stall to play interactive games and brush up on what can and can’t go in your FOGO bin, and collect a free bag of Soil Improver – All Purpose Dig-It-In Compost. This high-quality compost is created from food and garden organics collected in the Town of Bassendean’s lime-green-lidded FOGO bins.
