Come and celebrate our diverse community and Birak, one of the six Noongar seasons, that runs from December to January; a time of rising temperatures and afternoon sea breezes.
Festivities include a free community BBQ breakfast to welcome our newest Australian Citizens, complimentary coffee and natural slushies, performances from Gina Williams and Guy Ghouse plus several activities to celebrate Indigenous culture.
Join us on the morning of Thursday, 26 January 2023 - savor the sunshine, enjoy the entertainment and get to know your community.
8.00am to 10.00am
- Free BBQ breakfast rolls, tea/coffee, and natural slushies
- Cultural activities and displays including damper-making, rock painting, and artifacts display
- Smoking Ceremony and traditional dance at approximately 9.30am
10.00am to 11.15am
- Citizenship Ceremony
- Gina Williams & Guy Ghouse share Noongar language through their celebrated music
