Tip Vouchers and Kitchen Caddy Liners
The Town of Bassendean is updating the distribution of tip vouchers and compostable kitchen caddy liner rolls for improved convenience and fair allocation.
- Tip vouchers and kitchen caddy liner roll vouchers will now be included on your printed rates notice.
- eRates customers can still request vouchers to be sent by mail or pick them up at the Customer Service Centre or the Library.
- Renters can request vouchers from their landlord or property manager.
- Residents can collect two rolls of compostable kitchen caddy liners from the Customer Service Centre or Library with a voucher (one roll per voucher).
Please note: Tip vouchers are not for resale and are unable to be replaced if disposed of or lost.
For more information, see the news item about the change, contact the Waste Team at 9377 8095, or email [email protected].
Permitted Tip Voucher Facilities
For the most up to date information about what is accepted at each facility, please visit the EMRC's Fees and Charges web page or call the facility.
Items may still be taken to each facility once your annual tip pass allocation has been used, however, a charge will apply based on the weight of the load.

Conditions of Entry
Enclosed shoes must be worn. For public health and safety, please follow directions from staff while on site.
Threatening or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated, and staff reserve the right to refuse entry to customers who do not adhere to instructions.
If you are bringing in a mixed load, please separate the waste streams (general waste, green waste, recyclables) into different piles in your vehicle/trailer prior to visiting the site to make unloading more efficient and increase material recovery.
Baywaste Community Recycling Centre is primarily for residential use. Commercial vehicles larger than 4.2m may be refused entry depending on the amount and type of waste for disposal. We recommend calling prior to attending site to confirm that there is capacity to facilitate the request (this is a transfer facility and not a landfill).
